MotorStorm is awesome. I played that game almost every weekend last Fall with my friends. The only downside of that game was that it killed my R2 spring in my DualShock. Future reference for others who have this problem, you can replace that torsion spring with the one in floppy disks without any modification. Saved me $40+ dollars and it works like new now.

That better be shopped. *Shudders*

My biggest worry is the DLC. Once the next generation kicks off server support for DLC will go and it will essentially be no longer possible to get given that it is tied to accounts. No used DLC is possible.

@Max Power

I wonder if it would be better for the companies to be out of sync in terms of console releases. I could see it working 10 years ago, but nowadays games cost so much to make that it would likely kill off a lot of the multiplatform games on consoles. I would think only companies that have a lot of 1st party support could survive in that environment, but ones without internal studios would make sure that never happens. Fun to think about.

The more I look at that picture I realize that there aren't that many games there. Yeah he has more than most, but computer game boxes are about the size of 3 console game cases. I probably own more games across all the systems then him. Then again I also see he has a PS3 and Xbox 360, so he probably has plenty more non-pc games not shown.

Just have a boot screen with all your favorite OSes. Not that hard to play old stuff on the PC.

Nothing beats Bastet (Ba$tard Tetris). It never gives you the piece you need to clear rows. It's a pain if your use to waiting for a necessary piece to come.

Quagmire that game was so hard, or at least it was when I was a kid. You just brought up long forgotten frustration in me. I don't think I ever got past that first level. I might dig that game out when I go back home.

Everyone has except the one person that matters... Nintendo. It's just so obvious. The Pokemon storyline is always to become a pokemon master which translates easily to an MMO setting. Add in some Team Rocket (or whatever current evil group), gym leader bosses, legendary pokemon that take a party of people to beat. It's just so easy.

There is so much potential in that idea. Shoot they don't even have to call it Zelda. I just want some kind of Zelda like game in the future.

The R2 and L2 triggers seem to go loose after playing games that require you to hold it down on the DualShock 3. I just recently fixed them by opening the controller up and replacing that torsion spring shown in the article with a spring from a floppy disk. Amazingly it is almost a perfect fit without needing any modification to the spring. Much cheaper than spending $40+ dollars on a new controller or sacrificing a perfectly good Sixaxis.

Wow. Look at the 3rd pic. That woman is lifting a grub with little effort.

As to why they are just preparing for the future. When this resolution becomes standard or feasible they can just change a few settings to get it running.

I know I won't get it, but that gun add-on by Crown is really sleak. I'm definitely impressed.

5743d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Some of those sports add-ons are likely to hurt the performance of the device. Covering the sphere is likely not the best idea. Oh well, don't know why anyone would buy that in the first place.

@Merc_With_A_Mouth

I hope you are only referring to Kinect and not the game Child of Eden. I love everything that Q Entertainment puts out. Also, Child of Eden is the only game I would currently even consider purchasing a Kinect for, but I am still holding out for Move support.

@pwnsause

I waited to buy a PS3 until about a month before they were going to discontinue the 60 Gb model. Backwards compatibility is way too important to lose given the amount of PS2 games I bought.

@NecrumSlavery

That actually is a great idea if you don't have to use L1 or L2. If Sony let you calibrate which direction is forward I could easily see myself holding it that way without any issues.

Although it doesn't require Move or Kinect, Child of Eden looks to one of the best motion games that is coming out. For me right now that is the only thing that makes me want the Kinect, but then again I am a big Q Entertainment fan.

I bet the Kinect can only process about 2 full players worth of data efficiently. That means it can track their arms, legs, head, etc. without running out of power. However, if it were to ignore maybe the lower half of the players' bodies then it might be able to track more people. Not every game needs every player roundhouse kicking the TV screen.
